Bluetooth issues with phone calls only

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ and a Samsung Galaxy S6.  No problem connecting them and most bluetooth functions work perfectly fine, except phone calls.  When calls come in, the ringing is very crackly and the person on the other end can never hear me.  Had a Silverado as a rental before I bought mine (2016 or 2017, can't remember which year) and had the same problem with that truck. I've had this truck for 3 months and it has yet to work properly.  Everything is updated, have tried un-pairing and re-pairing mutliple times, not sure where to go from here!

Do you have another phone you can try? Spouse family member or a friend.

If you know anyone with an Android phone and theirs works on the truck I think you could rule out the truck being the problem. Just my opinion. Hope that helps.

If it works with the iPhone, then it’s gotta be a problem with the Samsung. Try is with a different android phone.

My 2017 Bluetooth calling works fine with my old iPhone 5s.

Have you went into bluetooth settings on the phone and made sure calls were enabled?

Here is an example of a bluetooth deal on my S8. You have to ensure the call audio is on or it won't transmit call via bluetooth. This is for an FM transmitter, so when active, the call audio is off and the media is on as I don't want calls through the radio.
