I'm not sure, but I'm following in case someone else does.  I'd trade you for my wood ones!  I am not feeling that style so I was going to wrap them or paint them.

I can't remember right know. but it is not synthesis. I do have that matching trim for the console for sale though.

When I was looking a trims, I noticed a “Carbon Fiber Off Road” Trim that I thought was for the Z71 trims. I guess these are different?

Reverse Tartan. Also generically known as carbon fiber. Chevy Z71 standard trim.

Reverse Tartan is definitely what is shown in the OP's photo (and is what comes standard on Z71) but it is not the same look as true carbon fiber.  GM may call it the same thing but if somebody is thinking "carbon fiber" the Tartan trim won't look like it.

 

Related -- WTF is wrong with GM and that trim?  On the Z71 they do the doors and console with the Reverse Tartan but the other silver parts around the radio and vents are just basic flat silver.  And the Z71 gauges have the Tartan pattern but it is darker than the door trim!
