Replacement of Input Shaft Bearing

Alright everyone, I've determined my tranny whine in my NV3500 is coming from my input shaft bearing and i've ordered a new pilot and input bearing. I'm just wondering what's involved in changing the input shaft bearing, once i get my tranny off and the shaft cover and snap rings off can I get the bearing out? Or does it requiring splitting the case to get to the bearing on the back end. Any advice is appreciated.

I know this might sound dumb but have gone to YouTube. I've actually learned allot up there.   I worked at the dealer for years but actually never had to replace that bearing
