Brake issue - 2016 1500 LT 5.3

I have been doing some searching around and saw that some people have ahead similar issues and I saw GM’s bulletin on the issue.

 

Last week I was sitting in traffic, came off of the brake creeping up and when I went back on the brake it was a stiff push to stop the truck.

 

It has happened a few times since last Friday, mostly because I am trying to recreate the situation to figure it out. I notice it most on the decline when I creep but have to stop the weight of the truck whereas on level grade I’m just stoping the idle.

 

This is only happening when I am stopped/creeping, once I give it gas and start moving again all is fine and back to normal.

 

Does that sound like a vacuum pump or booster (or both)?

it is the vacuum pump and i would change it soon before it fills the brake booster with oil or it completely fail and put metal filing in the engine
