Dash lights behind headlight switch

Are the dash lights for this soldered in? What about behind the AC temp control?

Yes they are. I have seen different places on the internet that show how to replace them, but I've also seen a lot of people who have tried and ended up frying the whole thing. It's really easier, although more expensive, to just buy the box and switch the whole thing out. If you try to fix your current one and fry it, you're going to have to buy a new one anyway. They can be found on ebay and amazon fairly reasonable, I just replaced the whole headlight one a couple months ago for I think $25, and I'm going to be buying the hvac controls shortly, as the driver side temp slider light burnt out on me

There's a good ol chap on here from Canada who replaces the lights with true LED lights for the clusters, HVAC controls, and even the headlight switches.  He is quite good at it.  He frequents a snowblower forum I am on and checks in on here from time to time.  He may have some tips.
