How to remove Active Shutter CEL?

Hi,

 

I have got a 2016 Gmc Yukon Denali, I have installed the Rigid Grille with a 30" RDS light bar after the installation I am now getting an active shutter cel. Is there any way to remove this cel? What i noticed is that the light is touching the grille. I have already removed the active shutter slats but I still do get the cel.

The shutters are likely binding on the light bar, triggering the CEL.

 

When you removed the shutter slats, you created another trigger for the CEL.

 

Your best bet is to try to clearance the slats that are coming in contact with the light bar with a Dremel or similar.  Leave all the slats in place, just grind off enough to prevent contact.

 

My suspicion is that the light bar/grille is NOT compatible with active shutter system, but you *may* be able to make it work with some finessing.
