NON-TRUCK

Ok this question is about a glorified passenger car. I know it's not a truck but I do own a '96 S-10 Blazer and and '03 Burban yet this is the only forum that I am a member of. This is about my wifes '12 Captiva.

Last week my wife could not remove her key and the radio would not come on. AAA could figure it out and sent a tow truck. The driver "fixed" it by wiggling the negative terminal wire coming off the batt. It happened again last Thursday, and my wife performed the function and she "fixed" it again. I cleaned the poles and figured it was done.

However, (this is where my thoughts get squewed, I am an A&P BTW)... She was driving it on Friday, the e-brake light flashed several time, the lights flickered, and check engine light came on. It didn't affect the performance of the car. It was a "soft code" fore when I hooked up my OBD-II tester, I got no code.

Can't touch it till the Labor Day weekend cause I'll be away this week. All of your input would be greatly appreciated.

If the battery is good and the alternator, I would say a ground problem or a battery cable issue.
