Install is very simple... I recommend installing in a cold motor because I think that is where my pinging came from... All is OK now!!!

I ran her hard today and the downshifts are sweet, and the power is right where it should be... :jester:

I got my PCM back Wed from Lyndon. It is in my 2003 ExtCab Quadrasteer 4X4 with 5.3/3.73, tires 265/70/17 Bridegstone Revo. No other mods.

Started right up and idled fine. Hit the road and it was a little rough for a mile or two cruising 25 to 35 mph. Pulled over and restarted it four or five times in the next several miles. Slowing increased accelaeration runs listening for pinging. I am running 87 octane and the temperature was 75 F. Did not detect any pinging.

Finally got brave and made a dozen WOT runs over the next 30 miles. These runs were on a deserted two lane rural road and went from a rolling 5 mph start to 55 mph and progressed to one run that was over twice that.

The shift are great. 1st to 2nd is almost unnoticable, 2nd to 3rd is firm. 3rd to OD is fine also.

I now have put about 140 miles on it from stop-and-go to freeway driving. It is noticably quicker. With very nice shifts. It is not a drag racer by any means and will not break the tires loose. That could be a result of the 3.73 gearing and the taller and wider than stock sticky tires. I am sure if I had stayed with the stock 245 Firestones it would have spun them.

Towing and mileage evaluations will take awhile and I will post those results when I have them.

Very pleased so far.

Greg
