Fire extinguisher mounted in cab?

So, has anyone mounted a fire extinguisher for easy access in their cab? If so, where and how (especially if you have pics to share)?

Was actually going to do this the other day. Bought one at Wally, was just gonna keep in the under seat storage.

Most extinguishers have pressure relief valves, so there's not a lot of risk of explosion.  That said, they WILL leak if kept in a 120+ degree hot car in the summer.  It's advised to keep it out of direct sunlight, and check it periodically to make sure it hasn't bled off any pressure.   While you're checking it, be sure to bang it a few times firmly and shake up the dry chemical inside -- a compacted fire extinguisher can blow CO2 and waste a charge if it's tightly caked up inside.

I have to carry one in my work trucks but I have never mounted one, just put it under the back seat.  My last two work trucks were Fords that have a flat floorboard with indention's under the seat that held the extinguisher in place pretty good.  The downside to the backseat, at least the double cabs, is that the floor board is not flat and the extinguisher will just slide out from under the seat.  My solution for now was to put the extinguisher in a small rectangle box under the seat.

Get a bigger one and mount it in the bed side wall perhaps? 

I just got the swing case so ill put one in there just in case i need it or someone on the road needs it.

A search will reveal that this topic has come up on this forum but I'm glad to see it reappear.  It is like checking on my spare tire!  "I'll get to it tomorrow!"  Ozer has the right idea, imo.  Chances are slim that you'll experience a fire while sitting in your truck.  Odds are that you'll be outside of your vehicle or want out quickly should a fire occur.  If you find the opportunity to help another motorist at the side of the road, be sure you've had training.  Unless someone is in immediate danger, help by keeping people away from the burning vehicle and wait for the professionals.  I learned this lesson first hand.  I thought I'd earn accolades from our local fire department for putting out a car fire in a school parking lot.  Instead, I provided a teachable moment for what not to do when coming upon a car fire!

Yeah makes sense, its just a vehicle that can be replaced. I would use the fire extinguisher on a person if they were on fire perhaps or a similar scenario where you are trying to help the person get out and not trying to save the vehicle.
