Ok I know many of you guys are married on here. So here goes Me and my gf went to a wedding tonight and afterwards we discussed wedding songs (1st dance). What was yours or what would you want it to be? I jokingly said I like it I love it (tim mcgraw) :P

She didnt like that idea :D so my real choice is My Best Friend (by tim mcgraw) The line "there could never be another to make me feel the way you do"

Man am I bored or what? I still have some time to think about this one :thumbs: (yea right im wrapped around her finger haha)

My betrothed and I are thinking about what we want our to be (Oct '04)...I am still single for a year :P .....naw she's a great girl....anyway right now I think the front runner is Trace Atkins -Love you like a man, we are also thinking about "Hold on to you??Me" I think it's by tim mcgraw or something I can't remember, Personally I wanted "Why don't we get drunk" by Jimmy Buffett, since we're both parrot head but we didn't think that would be very nice(it'll be played later on in the night)

the best wedding song by Jimmy Soul -If you wanna be happy

if your not familiar with that song here are the lyrics HA HA HA

The song my wife and I shared our first dance as husband and wife to was Sammy Kershaw's "You are the love of my life". That's still "our song" 5 years later. :D

Shortly after we were married he came out with the version of the song as a duet with Teri Clark and that was pretty good too! :P

We blew off all the typical wedding BS and had a small wedding (on a cart path at a resort) on the island of Kauai. Our reception was 2 months later with a Hawaiian theme.

Our song is "True Companion" by Marc Cohn :P

We didn't dance at our reception. I was in the band. However we did have a Ben Harper song called Forever played and sang during the ceremony.

One of our songs was "Lady in Red" by Chris de Burgh...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright
I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance
They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance
I have never seen that dress you're wearing
Or the highlights in your head that catch your eyes I have been blind
The lady in red is dancing with me cheek to cheek
There's nobody here, it's just you and me, It's where I wanna be
But I hardly know this beauty by my side
I'll never forget, the way you look tonight
I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright you were amazing
I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side
And when you turned to me and smiled, It took my breath away
I have never had such a feeling
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight
The way you look tonight
I never will forget,
the way you look tonight
The lady in red
The lady in red
The lady in red
My lady in red
I love you.
The actual song for our wedding dance was "Please Stay the Night" By Chuck Mangione...
It is nothing but music with no lyrics, but if you listen to the song, you'll understand the deep meanings of the instrumentals... :P
I'm getting married four weeks from today (9/14) and our song is going to be "Sea of Love" by the Honeydrippers. The song is really old but was covered by this band, with Robert Plant on vocals, during the 80s. Great song.
