Trying to install brake controller...

I have a 2008 Silverado 1500 Z71 and am trying to figure out the wiring to install a brake controller. 

I found the wire bundle under the dashboard but there is no power to the brake controller. How do I figure if the wire bundle is connected with a in line fuse?  Could not find a fuse labed brake controller in the fuse box and the owner's manual doesn't list it.

2 wires under the hood need hooked up, 1 is for the brake controller and the other is to supply 12v at the 7 plug.
