2015 silverado, 30k miles. disconnected the battery and left it in a parking lot for 6 weeks. upon return, connected the battery, started up just fine. drove it that day a few times making a few stops. no issues.

the next morning it wouldn't start. when I turned the key, everything went dead. took the key out, tried again, same thing. everything went dead. it didn't try to crank, no clicking, no message on the dash, just dead. i figured maybe the terminal connection that I connected the previous day was loose. opened the hood, jiggled the neg terminal cable. it was pretty tight. then it started up just fine. battery level was showing normal, about in the middle as it always does. all the radio presets were reset.

about a week later, I drove the truck across the country. 5 days of travel, no issues. i was watching the battery gauge. everything was fine.

about two weeks after that, after driving it every couple days in town, I went to start it and it wouldn't start. this time however, instead of just going completely dead, there was a clicking sound and the dash said "service stabilitrack" and after about 3 seconds it went dead. took the key out, tried again, same thing. then I waited about 2 minutes, tried again, and it fired right up.

not sure want the issue is. i was lucky that both times it was able to start eventually.

Start checking the cables themselves. They can corrode internally. Check grounds.
