Muffler Delete, Afm turned off drone

Hello, 

I recently deleted my muffler and flap and put on a Diablo tune to get ride of AFM.  Left the resonator on and straight piped where the muffler was.  I’m having issues with loud in cab drone at about 1600-2100 rpms which is super annoying on the highway.  A friend of mine recommended adding a long resonator where the muffler used to get rid of the drone but still have the v8 sound.  Anyone else have ideas?

Lose the resonator and get a performance muffler. Straight pipes are good and loud but get annoying quick. You can get close to the same volume out of a good muffler with none of the drone.
