Mission: clunk resolution

So my Silverado 3500 had an audible clunk noise that seemed to be coming from the front end. It was more prominent at slow speeds and seemed to stem from bumps, grade changes and turns to inclines. I figured it was the shocks since the ball joints showed no play, and I have new moog inner and outer tie rods and a fresh alignment, as well as 6 new tires. So I Did some searching and that resulted in literally every culprit imaginable: upper control arm bushings, sway bar end links, sway bar bushings, shock bushings, engine cross member mount, etc etc. so while all were helpful, they did not help me narrow down my issue. Finally I stumbled on a description that seemed to match my symptoms exactly. Someone described the clunk noise and stated they had also done their shocks assuming they were the issue, come to find out it was their torsion bar cross member mounts. So, I immediately went out and crawled under my truck and inspected mine, visually there were no giveaways that they had any issue, however, when I pushed up on the cross member it lifted almost a half inch and when I repeated the motion with a higher intensity it replicated the noise I had been hearing while driving. I found a video on you tube of how to change the mounts and followed it with the exception of drilling out my rivets as I did not have an air chisel or cut off wheel immediately available. The reason I’m posting is to hopeolly help others who have the clunk but have been unable to resolve it when attempting to diagnose it within the front end.

Photo borrowed but perfectly depicts bad bad mount vs new mount. The metal sleeve can rotate allowing the oval shape to become certical this allowing the bolt to travel up and down resulting in a nice clunk
