17x9s on 15 Silverado 1500

I’m currently in the works of lifting my 15 Silverado 1500 and I plan on a 6 inch lift and 35s but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to run the wheels I want. There an ion alloy 133 but I want them in a 17x9. They have a 4.685 inch backspace and -8 offset. Will I able able to run this wheel and tire combo on my truck with a 6 inch lift? Just wanna get some input before I spend the money. Thanks in advance!

I have 17/9 fuel nutz on my 17 Sierra , I have 4 inch lift (readylift) I have slight rubbing when locking the steering to the left or right ( rubbing in the fabric covering the fender from inside ) which GM dealer ( who did the lift ) said I should not worry about it and actually the car now has like 4000 miles and I’m not bothered by that .
My advise check first the lift kit as it will determine which wheels you should get ( from backspacing ) point of view , mine is 5 and I was lucky as this the right backspacing for my lift kit as normally the lift kit will come with new control arm which decides how much back spacing required .
Read carefully the lift kit specs and it should tell you exactly about the recommended wheels

The majority say what they need but what makes me wonder is that they say if the truck came with 18s factory it has to be 18s or bigger but then it shows in the charts you can use 17x9s so that’s what confuses me

Smallest diameter wheel is 17”. Will fit all half ton Trucks and SUV unless you have the $2.5k GM performance brake kit.

My truck came factory with 20” and I went down to 17” no problem.

If you look at the steel spare tire it’s probably a 17”.

They said so because of the control arm coming with kit , mine came with factory 20 inch and I changed to 17/9 , just tell me the exact lift kit you want to apply and the exact wheel brand and shape and will tell you if you are good to go or not .

Also it is very important to know which control arms type comes in your car ( factory ones ) , there are 3 types that GM supply ( stamped steel , cast steel or aluminum ) , this will determine which lift kit to use , hopefully you know about this and not learn the hard way as I did .

I was thinking about the 6 inch rough country, and I I want ion alloy 133’s in a 17x9. There spoked wheels. 4.685 inch’s of back space and -8 offset. DFD23844-2146-4202-85D0-2B92D5706081.thumb.jpeg.bff8381cd08cb9fc405ea9b9bf2c8cc7.jpeg

No you can’t fit those wheels on the rc liftkit .
Did you check if the wheels comes with different sizes ( 18 or 20 ) ?

Then you need to change the liftkit , I have 4 inch ( ready lift ) and 17/9 - btw you might find 6 inch lift kit other than RC which supports 17 wheels
