2006 Gmc sierra clock spring

My clock spring is bad, I have bought a replacement is it common to have extra connectors? I have 2 extra connectors that the original dose not have.

Not sure about the connectors, but I can say this: 

 

Make sure to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes before doing any repairs around the air bags.  

 

Every year, air bags save many lives.

Every year, air bags kill a few people. 

 

Be careful working in the steering wheel area.

Did you get the clock spring from the dealer? If so they should be able to tell you about any extra connectors or design changes.
