Reverse lights stopped coming on when keyless unlocked

I tried searching for a thread if anyone had the same issue and I found one but its ancient (

) I have done the diode mod so that my tow mirror leds and my reverse lights come on when remote unlock is pushed at night. When I push the cargo lights all the lights still function but for some reason the keyless does not engage them anymore. Has anyone ever had this problem? Thanks!

Try covering your ambient light sensor in your dash. That’s the only time the reverse lights will come on. Wait about 30 seconds before testing. Maybe light conditions are too bright?

Also, check your headlight switch and ensure it’s not in the manual on position.

Thanks Phil i have tried covering the sensor already. Weird thing is when I put the truck in reverse, everything lights up and the led on the cargo switch lights up as normal.

Ok. What about the headlight switch? I was having similar issues and realize my headlight switch was in the manual on position.

Gotcha that must be it lol now it works. I proly didnt wait long enough for the sensor either. Thanks!
