2000 Silverado 4800. 50k miles. The torque converter unlocks after shifting into overdrive at around 2000 rpms and 50 mph. After the torque converter relocks at this speed it stays locked.

If I operate the truck at around 1500 and 40 to 45 mph the torque converter unlocks and relocks everytime I accelerate. The differential also klunks everytime it relocks.

Also, the transmission does not act up when it is not up to normal operating temp for the first couple of shifts up through the gears.

Also, the transmission does not act up if I get on the accelerator and keep increasing the rpms and speed.

Has anyone else had similar problems? If so, what did you do to fix the problem? Would a Westers PCM fix the problem?
