99 Z71 won't start on the 1st try

My truck will not start on the 1st try after it sits over an hour. On the 2nd try it will start but i have to give it gas. Sounds like to a fuel pressure thing to me. Any ideas guys?? I replaced the fuel filter about 5k miles ago.

Fuel pressure regulator. Just had one replaced on my Bonne, and my son had to have one replaced on his Saturn.

After i looked at your 1500 with the snow... i miss it. I just like winter in Minnesota. Thanks for post. Anyway to test the Fuel pressure regulator?
