Tapping noise

So I was driving my 2014 Chevy Silverado and without giving it gas just driving it started to make a like tapping sound from the engine area. It’s hard to explain but it was making a tapping noise then when I would give it gas it would go away. It’s not all the time but it comes and goes.

is it in v4 mode when the tapping noise happens and when you give it gas it switching back to v8
