GPS and Temp won't load at startup

Went to start up the truck today and it had a small GPS icon bottom right on the screen with a red slash mark though it meaning the GPS didn't load and also the outside temperature just had 2 lines where the temp should be.   Head unit just showed a black screen.   At this same time I tried to connect my phone via Bluetooth and play a song.  I could barely hear the song and there was a lot of static like an old AM radio static. Weird!.... Drove about a quarter mile and it said "system loading".  Really?  I thought electronics were supposed to be fast.   I had to stop and start the thing 3 times before it finally registered both on the screen.  Anybody else?

This might sound a little weird, start your vehicle and give it about 30 secs for everything to get powered up and loaded. There have been issues where the rear camera views have a fish eye effect because the vehicle was placed in reverse quickly after starting the vehicle. Do you have User Profiles setup? Give it time for those to load from the vehicle before vehicle operation commences. My screen has gone black for a moment while the profile loads. I have ended up with AM/FM static due to  the Guest Profile loading. Ensure your unit is on Build Number  V509. [L206 and V507 are previous versions]. Ensure the dealership has placed all available software updates on your unit. Even with all this done, we are still experiencing problems like Favorites disappearing, operational unit with no sound, Black screen, Sd Card not read, and others I cannot remember. Many times letting the vehicle sit for more than 10 minutes [allowing the systems to sleep] will allow some of the problems to reset. All else fails, make a note and call the dealership for Appt.

Thank you. I think you hit on a main point and that is I probably put it in reverse too soon after startup. Reason is, I want to get out of the garage ASAP so the exhaust doesn't collect in there. Electronics......... Sheesh..... Ok I'll give it a lot of time to load everything. (Sounds like my PC at home, super sloooow......) Thanks again!
