I’m coming from a 2012 to a 2018. In the 12, when it rained, i didn’t get any additional noise in the cab from the road spray from the tires, but in my new truck, it’s really quite loud. Several people who have ridden with me during a thunderstorm have asked what the noise is. I’m pretty positive it’s just the wheels throwing water up into the wheel well, but I’m wondering if it’s normal? I do have the factory carpeted wheel well liners, which my 2012 didn’t have, but I would think that would make it quieter, not louder. Anyone else experiencing this? I just want to make sure nothing is wrong

My liners deaden the sound from the road pretty well. I have noticed a little low frequency “ringing” from spray hitting them when driving through water.  I think it would be louder without them.  As far as I am concerned the liners are a great addition.

Nope, just got used to it. Out of that truck now and in a Trail Boss. The new truck doesn’t do it
