2011 4wd dial lights out, fix or replace

I have a new to me 2011 Silverado 4WD. The 4WD dial on the dash isnt back lit. I just see the orange dot indicating its position. But when its dark I cant see the lettering. 

Can the dial back lighting be fixed? Or is it cheaper/easier to just replace that dial?
