Creating State Chapters

Hey,

I think a few people have shown intrest in state chapters, or maybe reigional chapters. I'd love to do this, and would be happy to help orginize a Texas or South Reigon Chapter. Anyone else??

Yes, the regional forum takes this idea. I think a lot of guys would like to get together with other members, it's just a matter of starting to organize some outings.

Ideas, hmmm. Well, we can start by gathering email addresses and start a Yahoo Group or something like that so we can have group emailings with those interested now.

Then, we can use that vehicle to determine a meeting time, date, place, etc. I asy email group, because not everyone can get to the internet or board each day, but most people at the VERY least check email regularly.

Also something that we could do (I know other clubs that do this), is a monthly wrench-a-thon.

Where you meet up at one of the members house or wherever the tools and jacks etc are, and the group installs a modification to that members vehicle. For example, I buy a grille guard, and at that meeting, we install it as a group. Next month, headers for someone else, next month exhaust, whatever someone has bought and needs installing. If nothing, no big deal. This will save us ALL $$$ on installation cost by pooling knowledge from other members. Just a thought.
