Got the pipes in! Truck sounds nasty. Install wasn’t terrible. I used a lift so that helped. Remove cross member/trans mount. Tons of room.

I would love some details on this.  Factory manifolds?   Factory exhaust?

Factory manifolds. I live in CA so I didn't opt for long tube headers. This Y pipe still has 2 high flow cats but the main thing is the diameter of the piping is 3 inch all the way through. Not pinched like factory.

Assume this is for a 5.3? is there any gain in diameter? Also the AFE y-pipe is the one on top?

Yes i installed on my 5.3l   3 inch diameter then to 3.5 at the end. Yes the AFE is pictured in the top of the photo, one half of the AFE pipe, as its a two piece design.

Exhaust is a Gibson Dual Sport with their more aggressive MWA muffler.

Thanks for the details.   Any chance of a sound clip or pics?   I have been thinking about doing an off road y-pipe and keeping factory exhaust.  I haven't had much luck finding just an off road y-pipe though.

I am going to be do a video hopefully soon. Ill upload to my youtube.

For 14-18 5.3 trucks not possible to find a aftermarket y pipe. AFE had the market cornered. They are 100% the only people who make a product unless I have been living under a rock.

Thanks for the reply.  I am looking forward to the video.

Thanks for the info on AFE too.  Hopefully someone will make an off-road y-pipe soon.  I would think there would be a decent market for something like that.
