TPMS From GMT 900 Recognized by K2 Truck?

Researched and couldn’t locate a concrete answer...

Looking at possibly picking up a set of aftermarket wheels and tires with TPMS that were on a GMT 900. Will the TPMS be recognized by my 2014 Sierra K2? I thought I read aftermarket sensors are pretty much similar for each platform, just need to be programmed to the truck. Am I mistaken or is there truth to this?

Don’t hold me to this, but I think I remember seeing something on here or somewhere about that the GM sensors are all on a certain frequency. Which means they should be compatible across most GM products. I know the scanner/relearn tool is for GM and not specific year models.

The sensors from my ‘08 wouldn’t work with my ‘16. I believe GM changed the frequency around 2010-2011.
