TPMS relearned by itself?

I am baffled. I recently bought aftermarket rims and had TPMS sensor installed on the rims. Yesterday I removed the stock rims and put on my new rims. I purchased the relearn tool and watched the videos about how to do the relearn. I started my truck and looked at my tires pressures and without going through the relearn procedure, the correct tire pressures were displayed. I went for a short drive, thinking that the truck was still, somehow, reading my stock tire pressures. Nothing changed. Still showing tire pressures. How can this happen?

How short was the drive? takes mine about 10 minutes to realise.

Did the tire pressure change on the drive to be 100% sure it wasn't still holding the pis from the signals from the old tires in the garage?

It was holding the old pressures. After a 20 minute drive it went to blank pressures. Used my eBay tool and it worked perfectly. It's all good now. Thank you to all.
