Swipe on radio to display in cluster

I’ve seen reference to this hidden feature in other posts, but can’t seem to make it work in my truck.  Can someone post a video of this so I can see what I’m doing wrong?

It’s a silly feature that changes the display on your dash to the audio screen. On your radio display take your finger and swipe straight across, like your swiping it over to your dash display. If your dash display was on info or anything other then audio, it should now display audio info.

I tried that at least half a dozen times on the way to work today and it never did change anything on the cluster.  Maybe it's because I have the Denali cluster.....

 

Can anyone with a Denali cluster confirm if this swipe trick works for them?

It displays the same thing that you can select on the DIC.

Hit left arrow on steering wheel and then scroll down to audio and then hit the check button in the middle.

Even if the swipe works, I still had to go to the DIC to select other views such as info.

I understand what it is supposed to do and that there are other ways to get to the same screens.  I’m just trying to understand if this is something that only works on the non-Denali clusters as I’ve never been able to do the swipe thing on mine.

I get the curiosity for sure. For me it’s a gimmick and I only use it to bug my father in law.

Swipe works on my 17 Denali in standard mode, haven't tried in technology mode.

There is a little lag after swiping, I will try and get a video when I get a chance.
