Adaptive cruise wanders

Hi there just picked up my new to us 17 burb. When we test drove it we did so in traffic and I didn’t notice anything funny with the adaptive cruise control it functioned as I expected. My wife drove it home from the dealer tonight without traffic and noticed that with no one around it was wandering in speed about 10km/h noting it was on a flat and it was set at 88 and wandered to 84 before accelerating? Is this normal or an issue I should be following up on?

I don't have adaptive cruise in mine but was just wondering, is there a setting for regular cruise also?  If so, that's probably what you need to use when on the road alone.  Adaptive cruise works by detecting the vehicle in front of you via radar or some other means.  If there's nothing there, it might confuse the computer and cause the speed variations.  Spend a lot of time with your owners manual.
