2006 GMC LBZ, starts then dies right after

Recommended Posts

I was cleaning the interior of the truck then afterwards tried starting to pull out of the shop, truck will start then dies right after. Power windows won’t work, door locks won’t work, key fob won’t work.

No issues prior to cleaning the interior, I sprayed some purple power degreaser around the ignition key hole and also on the door lock/window switch then used a brush to clean the switch.

Some say I’ve got the truck in security mode but the security light comes on then goes off right after as well, truck had no warning lights on prior to this other than a check engine light for glow plugs, now the battery light, abs light, check engine light and airbag light stay on.

Any help is is greatly appreciated

Just to confirm, if you turn the key to on and leave it sit, does the Security light go out? Also, when it starts up, does it run perfect for about a second and turn off, or does it seem like it is stalling/ stumbling?
