hello,

I have a 1999 chevy suburban 1500. it has the 4L60E transmission. When I drive the truck for 15-20 minutes at freeway speed and then come to a stop, then I accelerate from the stop, there is a hard shift from 1st to second. all other gears are fine. When the problem occurs, if I stop, put it in park, and turn the engine off for about 10 sec, the problem is gone. It also rarely happens during cold winter days. I am puzzled. This problem does not happen at all just driving around town at less than freeway speed and it drives perfectly.

I have good fluid and levels, no serious leaks and also have replaced the throttle position sensor.

I have noticed, that I do not have any lights on at the 4wd selector switch. sometimes there are, but for the most part not.

Thanks for any help its much appreciated.

Phil
