Passenger door rattle

I have no rattle when the window is down 10-100%, very minor when its open 5% and pretty bad when the window is all the way up.  The window doesn't seem loose, but the noise is clearly coming from the top  part of the door, perhaps the bottom of the glass.

I took the panel off and wasn't able to find anything so I dynamated the outside door panel and it made no difference.  Anyone have any insight or perhaps a TSB?

Check out my thread in the troubleshooting section. Just went through the same thing. After hours upon hours of messing with it, it turned out that the only fix was a body shop bending the top of my door inward and adjusting the latch. It was covered by warranty and didn't fix the issue 100% but it's much better now. They said this was pretty common on Chevy trucks and they knew how to fix it right away from past experience.

Batman900 is correct in that this sounds like a warranty issue. Take it to your dealer and let them figure it out.

sounds like a passenger seat belt contacting the b-pillar, the reason you don't hear it when the windows is down is b/c air rushing by the window is louder.

a loose seal or glass would be very obvious, as well as an out of alignment door striker.

It's not the seatbelt striking the B pillar, that would be a very different sound.  I've sat in the passenger seat and closed the door a lot over the past few days and insured it was not that or something in the door pocket.

If the window is up but the driver's side is down, it still rattles.

I made an appointment for next week.

I bet you get an unable to duplicate and they ship it to you, GM's warranty for rattle's is very sub-par. As a MB tech, we got used to working on rattles every week I, myself became more and more skilled, its an art and understanding of each chassis, dont forget the techs work on cars, trucks, suv's etc... techs dont get paid unless they fix things, look and wasting time on rattles doesn't pay, very few dealership techs get hourly wage.

I can be a broken clip, it can be something inside the door, panel backside, window lift cables, loose window screw for the window track, it can lots of things.
