ForestryGuy Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Hey everyone. I’m looking at buying a used camper shell that is currently on a 2008 Sierra with a 6.5’ bed. Will this fit a 2018 Sierra with a 6.5’ bed? thanks!
sk Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 No. You can probably get it to sit on the rails but it will not fit correctly. The width and length of the bed are slightly different and the rear of the tailgate cap is curved so the rear window on the camper shell will not close correctly. Also the K2xx style camper shells have lips that extend down over the sides of the bedrails and hide the black caps once the camper is installed. 1

Thanks, I figured out I’d need something that fits 2014-18. Found one but it is twice the price of the first used one I found. Picking it up this weekend. Thanks for the info.
Jarret Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Will a 2019 ARE shell fit on 2019 gmc with multi-flex tailgate? Same bed length
