Anyone have pics or suggestions for a bigger wider tire on the stock rim for a 2001 Suburban....I have to replace mine and wanted to go with something definitely wider and possibly taller...any experiences?

try 1010tires.com

they have an awesome tire calculator

after you get the size you want go to discount wheels. com

they have great prices on all major name brands

then call ntb locally and get them to beat it by 10%

thats what i did

worked out great

i got a 184.00 tire for 89.00 each

I went to a 265/75/16 on my truck, and it is a bit taller and wider and fills the wheel wells much better than the stock 245's.

I also went with LT265/75R16's Load Rating D on my Hoe. Make sure you get an LT rated and noot the lame P-rated that came stock (at least on mine). I went with Michelin LTX M/S twice. I replaced the stock firestones at 5K and got 80K out of the Michelins. On my second set now. Very quiet on highway and excellent wet/dry traction. Not great in the mud but I drive a lot of highway and wanted quiet. Consider the LTX A/S if you off-road at all or just want a more aggressive tread.

If its a 4x4, then go for 285/75/16s...very aggressive look. If its a 2x4, I would go for the 265s. Make sure to get the best...BFGs...why compromise with quality?

If you are a memeber, SAM's club has LT285/75R16's and I believe also the 265's for lower total price than anywhere on the net that I have checked this week. They are also on the net:
