Larry McClure has named the driver to fill the seat for the remainder of the year: Johnny Sauter will race the #4 at Kansas and Phoenix while Kevin Lepage will have the wheel on all the other tracks.

This keeps Sauter’s total down to seven and protects his rookie status for next year. A permanent driver for 2004 has not been named, and there is a possibility that Sauter would race for his Busch owner Richard Childress.
