Flowmaster or Magnaflow

I know everyone has there own opinion on this. I just needed some opinionated help on this. Im running a 2018 silverado 5.3l v8. I am currently running a super 44 on it no res or no flapper. Just the 3 cats and the super 44 out the back. Im looking at a few options to get rid of a big of drone. I have a choice between a magnaflow 12589, flowmaster 70, super 50. Still looking for a nice deep rumble but not as annoying inside as the super 44. Any opinions on this? Or anything i have not mentioned. By the way im here in vancouver canada, so prices are a bit steeper then the us .

The flapper would have helped a lot with the drone in V4, and the resonator would have been good to keep as well.

Borla makes a GM Touring Muffler that is a GM Performance Part number, and marked as such. That would mellow it out I would think. And would be compatible with your stock 2.75" pipe.

My opinion is that you don’t need a new god damn thread every day this week about your exhaust.
Cut him a break, he had them remove his flapper and resonator. His exhaust is screaming in his ear. [emoji1787]

Heyskippydog, thanks for the break. Yes indeed they did, and yes it was a mistake.

CombsL83, im new to this forum stuff. So sorry if you got your panties in a bunch about my threads. My deepest apologies.

Alot of people on here are great help, unlike you.

Dont hate, just explain and thats that.

I gave you my well informed opinion in your Flowmaster/Borla/Corsa thread so I was trying to assist. Then you started like 4 more threads on the same topic. I didn’t insult you in anyway so not sure why you felt the need to disrespect me like that. I’ve only been here a few months but I think my reputation shows I add something to this community. You’ve got multiple pointless threads about something you should make your own decision about instead of wanting your hand held through the entire process.

CombsL83, first off sorry of i did disrespect you. We shouldnt do that i know sorry. Second i have mentioned to you that im new at all this forum stuff. So im just pretty much trying to figire it out still and knowing how it works, so cut me a break there. Third im not asking you or anyone to hold my hand through this. I understand its my choice. Its called an opinion, im teying to get opinions from others with the same truck that have differwnt set up so i can get there opinion, maybe will help making my desicion a bit easier. Everyone helps everyone. You dont like it, i dont your comment budz. Like i said multiple pointless threads? I know my mistake, im still figuring this site out and how to write on the forum and stuff. Its not holding my hand, its getting opinions from other helpful people on this forum. Good day budz!!!

It's all good man.

I think the GMPP Touring muffler or the Magnaflow will mellow it out, but V4 is gonna be an earful without a flapper and resonator.

If you're not overly attached to V4 mode (guys on here have shown it doesn't save them that much fuel mileage), get a range module and plug it in. They're expensive new, but watch the "for sale" section here. I just scored one for 120. Do that and the flapper and resonator delete won't matter anymore.

Finally have what im lookimg for. Nice deep mellow tone, almost zero drone, no chopper noise when in v4 mode. I kept my super 44 installed. But now behind the muffler i welded in a 14 inch flowfx by flowmaster. No stock res and no flapper. Flowfx act like a resonator but a nice sounding one. You can still here the nice rumble of the super 44, but the flow fx gives it a nice deep mellow tone. Perfect for everyday driving and towing. No ear aching noise. Just a nice smooth tone.
