Tire Size Recommendation for 6" Lift

Just purchased a set of Pro Comp 17"x9" wheels and a Pro Comp 6" lift. Didn't purchase tires yet. Wanted to do more research before making the purchase. I've seen several threads with varying degrees of sizes. Really want to get it right the first time and not have to change up later. 315/70/17 and 35/12.50/17 are the choices. Looks to be very similar in size. Any help would be appreciated.

315s are just a little narrower. Id do the 12.50s with a 6" left

I do 35 on my 6"
