Condenser replacement if/when time comes...

I asked this in another thread but never got an answer and should have started a new thread anyway...

Question on condenser replacement... On my daughter's 2010 Ford Escape, I recently had to replace her condenser because of a leak and from all the information I found, it was highly recommended to replace the receiver/dryer as part of the fix. Luckily on my 2016 Silverado, I have not had the dreaded condenser leak, knock on wood. But if I do and end up replacing it, is there anything else recommended to change out at the same time? Or can I simply replace just the condenser, have it vacuumed, and then recharged?

I've edited this post after realizing the replacement condenser comes with a built-in drier...

I replaced a 2016 Silverado condenser for a friend pretty recently and the drier came integrated within it. I can also tell you that when my 2014 Silverado developed the infamous hose leak off the compressor, the dealer did not replace the drier during the hose replacement (under warranty) either. I  am perfectly happy with my post-dealer-work a/c in College Station, Texas which is currently hovering around 100 degrees daily.

p.s. Get a flexible-head ratcheting 10mm wrench for the upside down bolts for radiator support/crossmember removal--It'll save you an hour.
