Connectivity issues while using Google Assistant

2019 AT4. Phone paired via Bluetooth. Long press the voice command button on steering wheel to access google assistant on Galaxy S10+. I can send a text everytime with out an issue. When I receive a text, I long press the VC button and say "read my messages" and GA will say who the text is from and then the radio will start playing again (as if my phone was not talking to me any longer). I long press the VC button again and say "read my messages" and my phone will say "do you want to hear this message" and the radio will start playing and the voice then comes out of my phone's internal speaker.

It's as if while using Google Assistant the connection with the truck will not stay constant as it should.

My bluetooth works 100% flawlessly while answering and making calls.

The VC button works 100% flawlessly while choosing whom I want to make a call to, change radio station, etc.

It's just while using Google assistant to hear my texts.

 

Anyone else have this issue or possibly a fix??

 

I absolutely hate coming from a '16 Silverado I lost the feature to hear my incoming texts read to me thru the truck.
