4.8 to 6.0 swap

Hey guys, 

this question is for people who have done the swap.

I have 1500 Silverado. 06 4.8 rwd. 145 k miles and i'm looking into doing a swap and upgrading to 6.0. i've done some research and I understand as long as engines are within the same years everything should hook up fine. I have also read that the transmission may not hold up for a long time afterwards. 

 

what issues have you encountered after the swap? was it worth ? what else will i need to look into upgrading ? any input is appreciated.

I haven't done this swap, but why not also swap in the 4l80e at the same time?  Course, doing the swap via a parts truck likely makes this a lot easier....

I have thought about that especially since i know i will need to anyway. might as well since i'm digging in there to your point.
