Android Auto stopped working 2019 Silverado Custom 1500

I got my Google Pixel 2XL working with Android Auto in my truck and then bought a magnetic connecting cable that does both Data and Charging. That has been working just fine. But recently my bluetooth won't connect to my phone just for phone calls while the USB cable is not connected. It even erased my phone's profile off the truck yesterday automatically... I've already deleted the Pixel's profile once before manually and reconnected it to get it to work. Still having issues...

hate to bump a post thats a few months old, but just got my truck back yesterday from dealer after they FINALLY got my replacement USB in...Android Auto now works (fingers crossed)
so it COULd be possible that others having this issue may also have a shot usb socket...worth pursuing with dealer (my phone/cable worked on my wife's ride, so i knew it was something with my truck, dealer was cool with it in OCTOBER when issue popped up, took this long to get the part tho!)
