00 silverado 5.3L fuel injector rebuild?

Do the stock injectors have a micro filter? I bought a kit off Amazon and  It came with micro filters. I have 4 of my injectors out and I done see any filter in the top. Maybe it deteriorated?

My 01 5.3 has/had them. Got some bad fuel once and clogged 2 fuel filters in 500 miles, got some crap that the injector screens caught. Pulled them out, cleaned the screens, still in service 14 years later.

I found out they are installed down inside the injector. Now I just have to figure out what size screw is needed to get it out. My guess is #10 sheet metal, but I'm not sure the length this guy is using.
