Lower control arm ball joint size issue

So my ball joints on my 2014 silverado 1500 4x4 needed changed so i bought the complete lower my truck called for installed them and had a alignment done. Mid week the following week my steering felt funny amd the steering wheel was crooked again so i crawled under my truck and checked things out onky to find my lower ball joints were loose again. Got another set amd same thing. After comparing and investigating ive found that the taper on the ball joint is way small compared to stock aluminum control arm i took off. Curious as to if anyone else has ran into this issue ive tried multiple lower control arms for multiple trim packages and none of them fit. Any input or help is appreciated as ive torn my front end apart 3 or 4 times to run into the same issue
