Congrats on the car Will, enjoy it!

I love the chromed SVT wheels

Not everyone wants a stick, sheesh

I had a 90 Mustang GT, loved that car. It had a 5 spd. I had over 181,000 miles on it when I got rid of it. The dang moonroof started to fall apart, power mirrors and power windows died. Motor and Trans were in excellent shape when I got rid of it, and it did not burn oil. I never had to add oil between changes.

I am with Z71GUY, automatic?

As Gallagher would say, "That like putting hub caps on a tractor".

Nice car, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Thanks for letting me off pretty easy! I got the auto because I do 99.9% city driving, stop light to stop light! And sometimes, you just dont want to do all that shiftin!:jester:

To all those complaining about automatics, I hate to break the news to you, but at the track automatics are simply more consistent and generally develop on the average a half second quicker E.T. than their stick counterparts. That is unless you run up against someone who knows how to handle their stick (like myself :jester: ).

However, auto's aren't "faster" in the quarter, at least not without a converter and gears. This is the imminent domain of sticks. You can see this in the MPH side of the equation on your timeslip.

Either way, I'd rather row the gearbox myself which is why I only go M6 on my performance cars.

I never said he should have gotten a stick because of performance numbers... I just happen to enjoy driving a manual in a sports car and feel that sports car's SHOULD have a stick...just my opinion though...

I agree with you, but maybe Z71mudder doesn't feel the same.

Or maybe he's like my friend who loves stick shift cars but can't drive them worth a d**n so he just gets an auto.

Just stating other than simplicity to the driver, there are some advantages to having a PCM and hydraulics do the work for you.

Dam, how did you know! Yeah, thats probly the real reason! Ive never driven a stick, well 1 time about 5 yrs ago but thats it, so im not exactly an expert! But I also just dont think theyre really worth the hassle in my situation, in which I drive almost exclusively in the city and would have to shift non stop for a couple hours a day, Id rather just sit back and enjoy the ride!:jester:
