Rear electric defroster

My truck doesn't have a rear defroster and it's a pain in the butt scraping it. I'd like to add on an aftermarket electric defroster kit so that I can touch a button and the frost/ice/condensation will disappear. How lazy is that! Anyone ever get one put on aftermarket, or know where I could get one? Thanks, Chris

I'm guessing that the best route would be to swap the rear window with a window that has the defroster already in it. You could power it with a switch, but you wouldn't have the timer like a stock one would.

I have never seen a stock rear defrost window on the 95-98 extended cabs. I have seen them in catalogues aftermarket though. Maybe it was an option up North A slick way to install would be to use a AC/heat controller from a Tahoe or Suburban that has the rear defrost. That would make it look stock since it has the button built in.

Thanks for the advice, I might look around for the Tahoe/Sub. setup. I did a google search and found this http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/acdfv-9.html This is what I am looking for, plus it isn't expensive. If it doesn't work that good, I'm not out that much $$. Might try this route first. Chris
