Damn big calipers! Wheel spacers?

Hello,

i have a ‘19 Silverado RST. I’m running factory 20” wheels with blizzaks for winter. I have a set of 20” mayhem wheels for summer with the factory tires. Problem is these wheels don’t fit past the brake caliper. Possibly 1/4” - 1/2” to clear it.

So here I am looking at options. 1) was to sell the wheels and buy new ones ( used for used would be ideal as I don’t want to pony up for new wheels again) 2) use factory rims all year round and swap out winters for summers X2 ($130 a swap, $260 a year) seems better to own winter wheels to me. 3) buy some hub eccentric wheel spacers.

I don’t want to have to cut my studs shorter. Was thinking I wanted 1.5” possibly 2” but didn’t want the big ass wide stance look. I would use these wheel spacers with both sets of wheels as the factory wheels have no wide stance. Tires are tucked in quite abit behind fenders. Bore of my wheels are 106mm and truck hub is 78.1mm so I want to find a spacer 1.5” - 2” that I will not have to cut studs and has 78.1mm hub flange. I will buy 106-78.1mm rings for the aftermarket wheels.

long post but what’s your guys thoughts? Will I rub the fender with too much of a spacer? Is spacer a bad idea? I’m running factory size tires, 275 60 20.

thanks

thanks

my head almost exploded reading this lol.

if your sold on the wheels, there is nothing wrong with a 1.5 - 2 inch spacer.  Get a high end set - anodized aluminum.  with a 2 inch spacer, you typically bolt the spacers on to the hub, then use your factory lugs and bolt on the wheels to the spacer.

Personally, i would sell the mayhems and find a wheel with proper offsets... as your looking at a good $100 per pair for the spacers.

but yea running spacers no issues, make your you calculate and measure your offsets 2-3 times before you buy.
