2018 crew cab Silverado

Hi i have a 2018 Silverado crew cab that makes a rattle sound that seems to be coming from the rear end. 

When you shake the bed you can duplicate the noise. 

Now i have brought it in to get checked and they told me that after tightening u joints still happening. 

They brought in 3 other trucks and state they all make the sounds.

Has anyone had this issue?

There is at least 15 threads on this forum about the leaf spring noise with at least that many “fixes”. 

 

This thread has the latest TSB in it. If was me I’d request “they” try this one first if yours is still under warranty.

There are some shims back there that keep the leaf springs quiet that wear quick enough to start making noise.

My 2014 did it, and so does my 2017 now. If it gets loud enough, I'll care. For now? [emoji23]

Take it to another dealer, if under warranty (or not) you can take it anywhere. They may not want to touch it if the other dealer has done warranty work on it, but they are competitors and might shed some light to get your future business.

Not to discount the issue but it could be anything considering the lack of details. Do you have a stinger in the hitch? That will rattle.
