Need help, noise under floor 2015 z71

Need help, have a very faint popping noise when taking off or stopping. If barely moving and hit brakes does the same thing...mechanic said it could be coming from transfer case. Very frustrating not being able to locate the issue.

Did you check to see if anything was loose?

Yes just had control arms/ ball joints replaced. Mechanic said everything was tight underneath. He mentioned the transfer case because the sound appears to be coming from right under the driver seat and he pushed on the shaft coming from the transfer case and felt a little slack.
