Xpel vs Suntek PPF

I bought my new truck today and was offered the ppf option. I knew what it was about before today so I had already done my research.

The offered me Xpel 9300 series to which I found out that is a discontinued product . When I asked about the 9300 they also offered me up an Xpel comparable, Suntek.   He outlined it as the exact same with warranty, abrasion, etc. It was thicker than the 9300 for sure. There was no upcharge for the Suntek.

While I was there they had just finished an AT4 that had the Suntek installed. It looked good, but this is also my first time seeing any ppf in person, or at least that I knew it was there.

So so does anyone gave any experience with Suntek?

I’ve had Suntek tint on various cars for years and never had any issues. Same guys that always do my tint did my ppf and it was Suntek. I was a bit leery at first but they assured me it was good. I’ve used Xpel way back but didn’t know Suntek made it. Had it done on my 19 LTZ in Dec 2018 and no issues so far. Been thru a few auto car washes (shhhhh) and no problems. Seems like a solid product. I wouldn’t hesitate.

I think I paid $800 for full Suntek ceramic tint and ppf in about 6” of hood and front of side quarter panels. I think that was it, maybe mirrors, can’t recall and not home.
