2005-2007 GMC sierra 1500 vacuum brake boosters

New to the forum so hope I'm doing this right. I have a 2007 gmc Sierra classic with jf3 brake code. Vacuum brake booster, front disc, rear drums and give 7000. My master cylinder goes into the brake booster where they mate up and has a leak that destroyed my booster. So I'm replacing both master and booster. I'm wondering if I can swap it to the style master and brake booster where the booster is sealed and the master has a shorter shaft that doesnt go into the booster without any problems. Figured I could prevent any leak from the master destroying my booster in the future. As long as it's a vacuum booster for the same year, and bolts right up and plugs in like my current one, will it function the same?

I'd replace them with the original correct parts and never think another thing about it. You won't have this issue again, provided that use quality replacement parts
